The Society of Clan Gordon was the Honorary Clan for the 2020 festival. A popular clan within Scotland known for it's courageous Gordon Highlanders Regiment. A well respected group originating from the North Western part of Scotland.
BYDAND : means Abiding
Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, is the home of Happy Hens & Highlands Farm. We are a small family farm established in 2014 – owned and operated by Adam & Emily (Western North Carolina natives). we are located near Asheville, NC.
Our Fold is composed of Scottish Highlands and a few Scottish Highland crosses.
The Irish Wolfhound Association of the Mid South encourages and sponsors education in the health and welfare of the Irish Wolfhound, promotes responsible quality breeding, and provides rescue and placement for Irish Wolfhounds in our region of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and currently also in our neighboring states of Florida and Georgia.
Scottish Terrier Club of the Piedmont's goal is to introduce you to a fun, energetic, smart, loyal and playful breed; and create opportunities for you and your Scottie to make friends; enjoy dog shows and compete for championships; and support the longevity and health of a breed that has been in existence since the 16th century.
A Highland heavy athletics competition will be held during the Festival. Events such as the Caber Toss, Stone Putt and the Sheaf Toss demonstrate how highland warriors kept in shape and are now battles of strength.
Outlandish NCA is a group for fans of Outlander, a historical drama television series based on the ongoing novel series of the same name by Diana Gabaldon. The group is a source for discussion and events related to Gabaldon’s books, Scotland and Scottish culture for those living (or visiting) the DC/MD/VA area.
